Young Men Camping

This year we went to the Copenhagen parking lot again for winter camp.  We went up the week end before to build our caves because Brother Burbank is nervous of the boys being to wet when they sleep in them.  We had some good dutch oven dinner and donuts the bishopric brought to us that night.  We stayed warm in the big tent with the stove until time for bed.  The boys slept in the caves they had built.  One of them had to be remodeled because it was sagging thanks to the warm weather we had leading up to camp.  A few of the boys were pretty nervous about sleeping in the caves because they had never done it before.  But all lived through it and said they stayed pretty warm in the caves.  Saturday morning we arose to eat breakfast burritos cooked in the dutch oven also.  We cleaned up camp and then joined in the games they had prepared for the scouts.  We did well but did not recieve the awards the boys thought they had earned, but they still had a good time.  Our Klondike sled we built with lashings even held up for they race and after.  Seth Gregory, Kaden Hubbard, Karl Knapp, Emmit Hartley, and Clance Belnap were the wonderful scouts on this trip. They did a great job.  Even after when we went sledding they built each other up and made sure every one had a good time.
