Pack Meeting

June Cub Scout pack meeting was combined with Cub River ward. Kyler Gifford & Jaeddean Bake had their bridge ceremonies (they will now be involved in the 11 year old scout group). Kyler also earned his Arrow of Light award & Bud Burbank & Kyler Gifford earned their Faith In God award, given to them by Brother Kenny Hansen. We are proud of our scouts & all the hard work they do to accomplish their goals!

A few Sisters got together and cut out material and made baby blankets.

June RS Activity

June night time Relief Society was on “Family reunion ideas and keeping family close”. We talked about the importance of getting together as families with reunions as being one great way to stay close and learn about others in our family.  Heritage books, cook books and others were discussed as one way to do something in or with families. Sharla Thain spoke on the hiking trails that were around our area and how that is a way to do things with our families. Pictures of ancestors were set up and some talked about how the grandchildren loved to see the pictures and hear about stories of their ancestors. Different themes were discussed, games like having a , scavenger hunt, spider web game was one we played where you take a ball of yarn and have all family members sitting in a circle and you throw the ball to someone and they tell something about themselves or someone ancestor, you could do the same with throwing a beach ball around. We also played a game called “bag of fun” where there were random pieces of clothing placed and a person would pick out a piece of clothing and comment on it. Many other ideas were discussed and summer time treats were provided.
