Baptism

YW Activities for Sept.

September 13th – Combined YW Activity. We had a choice and accountability evening. The girls were given a card when they came in. There were two different cards one said: Welcome to the party, have fun enjoy all the snacks you want and if you see someone not eating make sure to invite them to eat. The other card said: Absolutely under no circumstances are you to eat anything. They had to make a choice whether to obey or not. They were rewarded at the end of the party for obeying. Another part of the evening we had them choose a game to play by giving them a disguised name, such as Win it in a minute, was called tick- tock. So they made their choice and couldn’t switch when it was time to play the games.

September 20th – Laurel went to the Old Sugar Factory and had a photo shoot.

Relief Society

Relief Society tonight was a cultural event. LaRue Burbank shared information on China where she went on a mission as a young lady and also told about where her and her husband returned for the dedication of the Temple in Hong Kong. She said that alot had changed since she was there on her mission. Giselle Fitzgerald shared information of what it was like living in Austria before and after her family joined the church. Janet Long shared information about Australia where her and her husband David went on a mission Jan. 2005 - July 2006. A lot of questions were asked about each country and it was enjoyable learning about them.
